Privacy Policy

Data we do not collect

• We do not require registration, sign-in, email addresses, or user accounts.
• We do not embed third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, crash reporters, or cross-app trackers.
• We do not upload your Apple Health records, heart rate samples, or motion sensor streams to any server.

Processed on your device only

To deliver tactile pacing and post-session physiological reports, ZenBreath AI processes the following locally on your iPhone:

• Breathing session timings, selected protocols, sound/haptic preferences, and local consent flags stored via iOS UserDefaults.
• Real-time accelerometer magnitude (via CoreMotion MotionGuard) evaluated strictly in memory during active sessions to detect physical movement and prevent distorted biofeedback scores. Sensor streams are never written to disk or transmitted.
• With your explicit permission, Apple HealthKit integration writes completed Mindful Minutes and reads heart rate samples during the session window to calculate local autonomic resonance metrics.

AI breathing pattern generation (3-tier privacy routing)

When you use AI Instant Tuning to generate a custom breathing rhythm from a short situation description:

• Tier 1 (On-Device Apple Intelligence): On compatible devices, inference executes 100% locally using Apple's on-device FoundationModels framework. Your text never leaves your iPhone.
• Tier 2 (Optional Stateless Edge Proxy): If on-device AI is unavailable, ZenBreath asks for your explicit opt-in consent before sending the short situation prompt over HTTPS to our stateless Cloudflare Worker proxy (`zenbreath-edge-proxy`). The proxy stores zero prompt logs, zero response payloads, and zero personal identifiers, maintaining only ephemeral anonymous rate-limit counters.
• Tier 3 (Local Preset Fallback): If you choose 'Local Only' or are offline, ZenBreath operates 100% locally using scientifically validated built-in presets.

Permissions

ZenBreath AI requests Apple Health and Motion & Fitness permissions only when you start a session so it can record Mindful Minutes and verify stationary biofeedback integrity. You can revoke either permission at any time in iOS Settings.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because ZenBreath AI collects, stores, and processes zero personal data on external servers, there is no server-side personal profile to access, export, or delete. Uninstalling the app immediately erases all local preferences, and you can manage any saved Mindful Minutes directly inside the Apple Health app.

Children's privacy

ZenBreath AI does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material revisions will update the effective date at the top of this page.
